Okay, so I found this in with a bunch of parts and have no idea what it is.  Sorry if it's a noob question, I assume it's a rail that clamps on a barrel but I'm not sure it's it's for an ar or what.  Or the make/model.  Thanks guys.

That would be close to the timeframe I acquired it.  Any idea who made it/what it is?

No idea on the maker. I almost bought one when I was buying an ARMS gooseneck. It's for mounting accessories before rails were common

Clamp it on, and mount your light.  If it doesn't say who makes it, it is a generic/ no name model.

Wow, that thing is ancient history, but they did work, clamp it, mount a light and go with it, if it don't work for you throw it away, talk about a blast from the past!

Many of us got issued something similar in the service and most of us, threw them away.

I had a buddy from basic who worked for a certain optics manufacturer in Ann Arbor and when they were going through a big change (probably about a decade ago) they got rid of a lot of arms/pri stuff etc etc.  this was in a big box he gave to me.  Guess I'll throw it back in the box haha.  Thanks guys.
