How many of you have experience with the "standard" DSA uppers/barrels and BCG's with the 9310 bolts? I just got a non-chrome lined carbine length gas system upper (4140 barrel steel) w/Diamonhead 13.5in free float rail ($329 out the door). Gas block is staked nicely so no worries about it coming loose. Any of you have experience with simular uppers/barrels?
This is not my "go to" rifle, as I also have a 20" Colt AR-14A4 and a BCM 14.5in M4gery, but I had a spare complete lower laying around so I figured what the hell. |
| I have owned a few DS Arms uppers, lowers, BCGs, buffer tube kits, and carrying handles. I have never had an issue. To me, they are one of the lesser known sources for budget priced and good quality AR components. Most people are familiar with them because of their FALs. |

I've been wanting to try Delton and DSA for awhile now... Delton has a 20" A2 kit for like $475 that's seriously hard to pass on. Do it. I bought a kit from them that is my go to beater/ATV gun. 14.75" CL w/ pinned A2 carbine upper, LPK, and stock kit for $460. All I did was add a lower. I wish I would've bought more at that price. |
| Well I took it to the range for a quick function test today (only 60 rounds). Sighted in the irons to hit about 2-3 inches low at 50 yards (farthest at my local range). All rounds (not much, I know) shot without fail. Seems to be gassed perfectly as well. Once sighted in after 10 rounds, I did 1 mag (30 rounds) of slow fire. All shots were in a quarter size group. This baby is getting some glass!! |

Great staff, very friendly, and knowledgeable about the products (and if they don't know, they'll say so). Not your average gun store employees that talk out of their ass |

Got some glass on it, p-223 1.5-4.5x. Should be a good 300 yard gun. I bet those quarter size groups @50 yards are going to shrink to dime size (will be awhile till I can get out to over 50 unfortunately). http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg493/crazygoaliesteve/Mobile%20Uploads/D834E83E-9C85-4087-A220-7971E093410B_zpsld9ck2vf.jpg Interesting scope mount setup.
I have a DSA upper. Fluted heavy mid barrel. Only thing I disliked was huge gas block and the ghetto quad rail it came with. Easily remedied once I figure out what I want to replace it with. The thing weighs a ton as is. |

Yeah DS Arms has always been great to me in emails answering questions even if I'm a slow buyer. Pretty much made a decision that my next AR will be a complete DS Arms build. |
