I'd like to put a bipod on my .308 AR.  BUT, I'd also like to put a TLR-2 on the underside of the hand guard. It has had-rails on the forward-most ~8" of the hand guard. Perhaps there are bipods that attach to the side rails, thus keeping the bottom free for the light/laser?  If that's not feasible, I want something as light as possible yet still with reasonable performance.

Any ideas?

Thank You,
R

Agree.  The VLTOR is my favorite bipod.  The only thing I have found that I don't really care for is when folded to the rear along side of the handguard, it makes gripping the handguard a little more difficult.  You can fold them forward but then they tend to get in the way if they stick out past the muzzle.  Still, I like it a lot better than any other bipod I have used.

Do you not miss the ability to be able to cant your rifle on un-level ground?  Just curious...but I do like that maneuverability in my bipods.  That said, my bipods wouldn't do what the OP wants them to do.

Aside from them being fugly (jmho), the VLTOR's are what the OP needs.
