I'm learning a new photo app and though I'd use my HBAR as my subject. ArmaLite scope mount and gas block are the only mods. I bought this new in the 1980's. Don't know what it's worth now.

R6700
I got one right before the '94 ban that I still have. By the s/n mine was supposedly 'hand selected for accuracy' but I never got the gun to shoot all that well. I just put a different scope on it recently ( Bushnell Elete 3000 mil-dot ) and I'm going to try again to work up some loads that it likes. |

Than 10 years later I did the mods and added the scope. I never used it to its full potential, just like all the other guns I have. Life and responsibilities get in the way and you don't have time for fun. I have a few hundred rounds I loaded for this rifle.... Dated 1989. |

What twist is your Colt barrel OP and is your barrel chrome lined? Great picturs btw!
I have a ban era version of this Colt with chrome moly 1:9 twist barrel. The barrel is a great shooter but I hated the non standard pins for the FCG and the screw instead of front take down pin. I sold the lower with a different upper to a Friend. My Colt upper now rides on a RRA NM lower and my FIL threaded the barrel. The original Colt trigger was terrible and at that time there were no replacements other than Colt. I actually had a very good single stage trigger (FCG) my FIL drilled out to accept the large Colt pins. I think I bought my Colt H-Bar in 1997 and my FIL owned his own tool and die business which he willingly helped me on my gun projects. We never got around to using his EDM to Magnaport any barrels.
