I bought an Anderson Manufacturing AR15 Lower today. I've been using CMMG LPK's for a few years now with no problems until today. The grip doesn't seem to want to seat tight on receiver and is very loose. I used 2 different grips from 2 different LPK's and the same problem. I believe the problem is with the receiver. Anybody experience problems with Anderson Manufacturing? Pat.

The grip screw is most likely threaded for a 3/4 inch grip screw. You can cut off a little more than 1/4 inch off the grip screw and it'll tighten up. Most manufactures thread it for the standard 1 inch grip screws. Anderson Doesnt. theres nothing wrong with your lower.

Found this out the hard way,  also.  Just ran across the street to Ace and bought a shorter screw.

The screws supplied with magpul grips are shorter and solved that issue with one of mine..

Yep, I have SEVERAL Anderson's, some even SBR'd that have the shorter grip screw threading. My local Ace sells the correct size hex screw in 3/4, 7/8 and 1". I have several of each seeing as it was only a few bucks to buy them.

There's nothing wrong with your lower. Business as usual for Anderson.

Or run a #3 drill through the hole and follow with a 1/4-28 tap.

Had the same problem with mine.  Most LPK bolts are 1" and the Andersons are at 3/4"

I used a nut on the bolt for the pistol grip.  Or just find a 3/4" bolt

Thanks all. I guess I'm off to my local ACE's this morning to get a smaller screw.
