Doing my first light weight build any downside beyond cost of using a titanium gas block?
Thinking about using V Seven titanium gas block with three set screws http://www.vsevenweaponsystems.com/collections/frontpage/products/v7-titanium-625-gas-block |

well if you are doing a light weight build, are you going with a lighter bcg or buffer? then you might want to look at an adjustable gas blocks.
No down side to using titanium besides cost, titanium actually expands less than steel if that matters to you. If you get your barrel that hot. I used an SLR titanium adjustable on my ultralight build and love it. easy to adjust and tune on the fly with very distinct clicks and it is easily taken apart to clean. costly though at $179 MSRP |

I use the SLR but there is one out now that weighs a bit lessons to cant think of them name, think vertexops carries it. With an adjustable gas block you can use a light weight BCG, Use the V7 titanium BCG and a very happy with it. No issue with durability or heat either as 90% of my shooting is suppressed and full auto. |
