Does anyone have a Riser Trigger RA-140? What are you comments on it. Worth considering?
Thanks Steve-in-Atco |

Damn fellows, read his post. He's not asking about a LaRue or a Geiselle. He's asking about a Rise trigger.
To answer your question, Steve, I have one, It's an excellent trigger, well manufactured and easy to install. For a single stage, it breaks like glass and has a short reset. Several friends have them too. Each one is satisfied with it. It's a huge improvement over most stock, military-type triggers. |

If that's the case, that puts this trigger in the price range of both Larue and Geissele, both proven setups. Why did you go with the Rise unit over either of those? |

I just order a LaRue. It has good reviews and I like a 2 stage. Thanks for the inputs. Steve-in-Atco Just in case you did not know, there is about an 8 week lead time for the $125 Larue triggers. You can get the RS-140 trigger from JSE Surplus for $99. For $120, they will include the KNS pins minus the allen wrench. |

I have two debadged BRO triggers. They were originally built by Rise for Black Rain ordinance. After that deal fell apart Rise milled the BRO markings off and sold them as "blue" triggers. They dried up pretty quick and theb Rise brought out the RA-140 which is extremely similar. They feel great and have an extremely short reset. Unfortunately they are a little short on hammer power. I've never had an ignition problem with 5.56 but I have with .308. I also had one of them that started dropping the hammer on reset. I pulled it apart and filed the nub on the front of the disconnector so it could cam farther forward. I could see the nub had already been filed from the original fitting. It has worked fine since. |
