Am I the only one who still likes the look of the A2 front sights with the 7 inch picatinny or key mod/mlok rail?

Cloners are people who make as-close-as-possible replica's of service rifles. They range from the retro guys who do cones of anything with an A1 and earlier upper, the A2 guys, A4 guys, Mk.12 Guys, CQBR guys, M4/M4A1 guys, etc etc.

That said, I have a non-clone carbine with a fixed FSB and I love it. Still debating if I like the quad-rail I put on it or not though. I like them for the simplicity, ruggedness, and classic look.
Either way, there are plenty of people who do and I'm sure you'll get a lot of pictures of rifles shortly.

For example, here is one of mine:

My SHTF/HD rifle has an f marked A2 front sight. I also have a pistol with an A2, but it also has a free float rail

Mft tekko rail?

I was going to buy an ar15 with 16 inch barrel and put a 10 inch KMR rail on it (however I would rather an 11 or 11.5 inch rail  but of course BCM doesnt make those sizes for some reason)  since i dont like the look of 13 or 15 inch rails. Then I started thinking that i still really like the 7 inch rail look with the A2 Front sights. Its also much easier to install than a 10 inch keymod rail and also cheaper as well. Im still undecided though as. Should i get a 7 inch  BCM KMR ? Or should i just get a 7 inch troy or MI drop in?

I'm neutral on looks, but I like the ruggedness the A2 sight provides...no other front sight is going to be more rugged than the A2.  Bang the A2 into a stone wall or drop it = no worries, same thing with folding front sight =

They're still is great use by Appleseed, Service Rifle, and High Power competitors as well.

It's a very robust sight, extremely reliable, and enjoys as much aftermarket support as a Chevy 350 small block.

I really don't see a down-side.

Didn't we have a thread a month ago over this exact topic?

I like the a4 front sight look. I am currently reworking my 308 back to the original a4.  I had put a 12" rail on it but was not happy with the added weight and look.
Unfortunately I picked up a Troy handguard that was a high profile and the upper is a low profile. Man what a stupid $100 mistake.
