This is a general AR topic, which I wanted to post in a forum where the true AR fans would lurk.

I have build disease.

I am close to remission with NFAids, thanks largely to the ATF.

However, it has morphed into build disease.

How does one cure this?

Stop when the money runs out.

Or

I was afraid of that.

I initially was an M1A guy, and still am.

So I decided to dive into the AR game. Wanted the tits. Bought an SR-15.

My reach gun satisfied, the disease metastasized.

Build one, you say?

Oh, Geissele makes silly triggers?

Oh, LaRue is a thing?

I'm ruined.

Now I'll never be a Fluffy.

Do not feel bad. In 2004, I bought my first AR. I have owned over 4 1/4 dozen since. I have built over 40 and have 43 currently. I just finished a $3500 build (not my first one that expensive). BRD is extremely contagious and of which seems to have no cure.

Whatever you, don't get into Retro's, and especially stay away from 6.5 Grendel.

You will be beyond repair at that point.  I'm starting to forget that 5.56 even exists almost.

7lbs 12oz of pure badness

mmmmm..... 6.5 grendal is next on my list.  Im an addict by choice!

And YOU HAD to bring up Grendel.

I am just about finished with a 20" build with a BCM upper, Geissele SSA-E, atlas bipod and Nikon P-223 BDC 600 4-12x40.

As I got the confirmation email from LaRue for the scope mounts, I thought..."you idiot. This should have been a Grendel build."

Well, guess what's next?

Run out of cash.

I'm currently working on number 5, I'll probably stop after that.

I like variety too much, I'm hoping one day to own an MP5 so the ARs will have to stop.

I am lucky, I am retired and have a pretty good retirement, and spent a good amount of time deployed overseas, so saved a lot of movey over the years, so it is fun to play..

Wait until you start reloading, when you get to that point, you have it bad, just setting up all of my new reloading gear today!  I also just bought a 24" lathe the other day and purchased a CNC set up so I can work on barrels, Picked up a Mill a few weeks ago, for doing lowers, and I attend gun builders anonymous ever week!

My wife just looks at me and walks away shaking her head!

I'm 80% with you.

In all honesty, I've done some add to cart clicking when I should not have.

Future me,  what is the best stock (pun intended) to buy in April 2016?

I know you have had a long journey through parallel universes to speak with me, and inform me of these dangers.
