I think it is time to ask for suggestions on the replacement of my buffer.

It has a JP in it now and would REALLY like to reduce the "twang" in the stock after each shot as well as felt recoil to stay on target.
I see them for $14 and all the way up. Leaves me scratching my head.
What are you using and why?

What spring are you using?  I'd go with another jp set using their spring and recommended buffer.

That or a springCo spring and buffer of yor choice.

I ran a standard rifle buffer, wolf exposed spring, semi auto carrier, and a comp on my 18" and it had a super soft recoil.

Unsure of spring. It came in this rifle when I got it from a shop. Am I to assume since it has the JP buffer, it also has their spring. How do I determine what I need? By length or are the marked in some way. This buffer has what appears to be a 6 or 9 stamped on the end.
20" stainless fluted barrel.

Not necessarily a JP spring.  Standard springs are a lot cheaper so it depends on the shop.  You need a rifle lent spring and buffer.  You can find extra power options on springs and different weight rifle buffers.  Brownells should sell JP as well as Wolf springs.  Look through what they can offer.

Hell.. call the tech line at JP and see what they recommend.

If it was me.. I'd order the wolf ex power rifle spring and use the buffer you have.  If you like the result then weigh your buffer and get a replacement in same weight.  If you don't the weigh yor buffer and buy a heavier one.

Pretty sure that's NOT a J.P. Enterprises buffer!

The buffer they offer (to my knowledge) is the LMOS buffer and its anodized RED.

Yes, you are correct. RED is their color.
The literature that came with this rifle stated JP tuned buffer installed.
NOT happy that this appears to have been swapped. I have not shot this rifle this much to beat up the buffer that bad.
At any rate, I will get this swapped with a quality spring and buffer
Thanks!
