Is the colt socom going to go up in value? I have a socom with the troy rail and I bought different upper for it, colt socom 14.5", pinned surefire, DD RIS II rail, colr receiver so I don't have a use for the 16" one anymore. Is it stupid to sell/trade that? Will I regret it one day? Its just an upper that I don't use right now.

like any other rifle, it has a niche following. the more "accurate" it is, the higher the collector value.

I thought with these it was the lower that everyone wants. I paid $1299 for mine with the Knights rail and don't really think it is worth anymore than that.

It is. Anyone can build the upper so there's nothing really "special" about them.
