About to start an SBR build and am trying to decide between two forged lowers. Aero Precision and V7.

Anyone have an experience with the V7 on quality. I would imagine its pretty hard to screw up a lower.

Also, any other selections would be appreciated.

Who makes the V7?  Never heard of it so...

I use Aero for my builds.

I believe they are a stand alone brand. V seven.

I was set on Aero but kind of like the V seven lower - somewhat halfway forged half billet look

I've been looking into McKay lowers since reading about them earlier today.  Looks like a solid lower at a good price, no flair, just function.

V7 was started by former Noveske employee's and I believe they share the same view about quality control that John Noveske did. That said, I've heard a bad thing about them. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

***Edited because my new phone is a piece of shit.

V7 was founded by one of the guys that helped start noveske. Their stuff is top quality. I have bought bcg and other parts from them. I rate them as one of the top companies for unique and lightweight builds. I want one of their lowers but so far I have not yet bought one. Go for it!

If you want the billet look but have a forged lower, Vorn USA makes the Lima 1 lower.

I meant that I haven't heard anything bad about them. New phone is auto-correcting everything for no reason.

V7 is GTG. I wouldn't pay their premium for normal parts. LW parts are worth it, though.

Actually nothing is wrong with them. They make great stuff.

V7 is top notch quality and has set themselves apart from other manufacturers by a very extensive line of lightweight AR parts

Aero is still really good, I own an Aero M5 308 AR. If I had to pick I would go with V7

I have a lot of V7 parts on my current build all of what I got appears to be very well built. Also the customer service is great, I've had questions about there stuff and they answer pretty quick.

I was waiting on there lower to come out for my next build but the v7 logo on the side is hideous so I might pass.

That Vorn is pretty cool and their matched set is damn cheap. Also comes in Burnt Bronze which will save me the cerakote - thanks for throwing this out HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Now the decision is much harder

He doesn't really go into much and I have been trying to find it again (think it was on M4) anyways basically says dude had nothing to do with Noveske but he and John Noveske had some conversations.

Don't know if its true or not - also may be jumbling things as I am trying to remember
