I just realized that Mossberg makes an AR-15. Should have caught that earlier.

The Mossberg MMR Tactical AR15 was my baptism into the world of Firearms. My first purchase ever of a gun about 14 months ago. I bought it because:
1) it had a quad rail (I didn't like the look of the A post front sight.) 2) it cost $558 on galleryofguns.com 3) it was made by Mossberg Since that time I've fired several hundred rounds with out one malfunction. Everything from Fredom Munitions Reman to PMC M855. This rifle has allowed me to learn, rate, and explore my likes and dislikes of the platform. The MMR has allowed me to experiment with furniture. BUIS, Lubes, Cleaners, and optics. It has led to two builds from stripped lowers. I keep reading BUY ONCE! CRY ONCE! Bah Humbug!!! It's been a great entry rifle to explore the AR world. If I was starting over, I would do it the exact same way. I love the gun. NO REGRETS. I know,the rifle is not highly regarded on this site, so here comes the bashing..... |

I've never owned one, but handled a few from my time as a gun counter jockey.
Decent fit and finish, good starter platform if you don't want to assemble a kit from PSA. I've also heard really good things about Mossberg barrels and the accuracy. Go shoot the shit out of it and give us a range report. |
