Hey:
I have a CMMG .22 upper that came with a gas block, wife wants the front A2 standard front sight, that is what she has at work and prefers that, I happen to have one that I removed from a PSA rifle, I can not tell if the barrell is pre-drilled or not, is it possible to do this or does the base and barrell have to be drilled together? I remember reading something like that a while ago.

Normally, you drill a virgin front sight base to a virgin barrel.

Send the barrel to ADCO and have them drill the barrel and a new front sight base together.

folks tap the FSB pin holes to use 8-32 or 10-32 set screws...you can re-use the fsb on the 22lr brl w/o having to send it out for gunsmithing.
