I hate doing these threads but just wanted some advice going into the holiday sales season.

I have a Gen-1 Noveske lower already, that I planned to buy a Noveske Factory Stainless 14.5, or 16" complete upper for it.

Not being as familiar with, and not wanting this to turn into a brand war.  Is there any real benefit to grabbing a KAC upper for ~$200 more?

Are there any real Pro's or Con's to the KAC?  Or would I be best saving the money, and buying the matching Noveske upper?

Thanks.

IMO it is always best to buy the upper and lower from the same manufacturer. I know all uppers and lowers are supposed to be machined to the same specs, but it has been proven there are differences.

Both are great uppers. One thing to consider is the KAC will come with BUIS which are a +$200 value, not sure if the Noveske you are looking at include any BUIS.

That's a great point.

I know KAC uses a unique bolt... not sure if it would really benefit me since I've never had issues with the regular bolt...  It also has a non-stainless barrel which is great for life expectancy but wonder how it would stack up against Noveske's stainless one in terms of accuracy.

Just things im mulling around in my head.
