ive got a 10.5, 12, and 14.5 at the moment.

I have a spare upper, CH, BCG, handguards (carbine and mid length), and a DD1.5 in the parts box.

All I need is a barrel.

Want this to be a FSB build as everything else is railed out to the max. Which leads me to ask....

14.5" mid length

Or

12.5" carbine

Didn't we already do this thread a couple months ago?

Yes.  I ran my 10.5" 7.62x39 fairly hard one day with a DD MFR9 and every shot past 100 felt like a torch was being waved across my hand.  Baseball gloves come in handy in that case.

What handguard are you going to use Fin?

I like shorter middies so I vote for the 14.5. Chances are you've got an sbr'd lower so pin may not be necessary. That way, the only thing stopping you from changing your mind and going to the 12.5 is a barrel change and a gas tube.

I've got several SBR lowers so pinning isn't needed.

The 14.5 is leading for me as I've never had one in a mid length.

My current 12" is this:

Do an 11.5 commando upper

No no, you now need something longer.  18-20".   Mk12, SAM-R, your own SPR etc etc.  Rifle gas, fixed buttstock.  Too much fun.    Actually a vanilla A4 or A2 might even be the ticket..

Your guns are all super sweet though.  FWIW.

I think you need an 11.5" upper I am in the market for a 14.5" upper right now myself

It's worth having one in the safe. Most of the advantages of a 16 in a slightly tighter package. Like you said, you don't have to perm a muzzle device so you have more freedom than most who go 14.5. My primary stick is a 14.5+Acog RCO to match up with the 14.5 middy barrel.

Groups well too

This....you already have the shorter lengths covered.  Go with a 18" SPR.

I started with an 18" SPR middy then built a 14.5 middy and finally built a 10.3" pistol/sbr ...have not decided yet which way to leave it.
So...go the bases covered I think.

I have a 13" SMR rail waiting on an 18" barrel to pair with the new PA 4-14x.

14.5 midlength has been less than reliable (BCM) in my experience.

Get the 12.5

Or an 18 SPR

Send it back and build it yourself. My 14.5 uppers have been flawless. I used a Daniel Defense CHF gov 14.5 and a noveske afghan on the other. Both have been 100% from day one.
