I picked up a billet lower from Runner Runner Guns (but I've seen the same ones at other vendors just with different emblems on them) and have run into an issue where the integrated trigger guard doesn't line up well with my magpul furniture. I've tried both the moe and K2 grips but they both are about the same.  The edges of the trigger guard are squared and there isn't a smooth transition dragging my finger across from the pistol grip to the TG. It looks like there should have been some more material machined off the TG such that it lined up better with the grip. I tried slipping a thin rubber spacer under the pistol grip and almost ruined my PG threads instead

Has anyone else run into this and is there another PG I should try or should I just get used to it?

I've used A2's, K2's, BCM Mod0's, UC23's, and NONE of them line up perfect. IMHO, it's just something you live with/get used to. No two lowers are EXACTLY alike, thus grip interface will vary slightly. It's normal.

I have had problems trying to install some grips, now I just start it on before installing grip screw. Just watch safety spring and let the grip screw seat the grip. I usually wiggle it a tad tightening the grip screw, they go right on. [ if I understand your problem correctly ]

The grip installs without issue, but the geometry of the integrated trigger guard seems off in such a way that it is too wide at the bottom resulting in overhang on both side (relative to the pistol grip) that then digs into the middle finger when held one handed. I've notice on other lowers that that edge is milled down to be a 45 deg angle rather than a 90deg. If I figure out how to post pics I'll put one up

Now that I know what I like/dislike on the current lower I'll be able to pick better on the next.

ERGO Tactical Deluxe Sure Grip Pistol Grip AR-15 Ovemolded Rubber

You might have to remove some material on the inside of this grip to make room for that oversized guard.  But that should provide a more comfortable transition.

Thanks Doug, I'll gig that one a try. The extensions on the leading edge (where the TG is) are exactly the trouble spot I am talking about.
