I was all jiggy about one but they told me they were having issues about the patent. We had to temporarily suspend the sales of the Redi-Catch as the attorneys are sorting out a possible patent infringement issue. |

It's been getting noticed again. Been on the market for awhile and largely passed over simply because everyone wants New!.

That someone would poke a stick in the spokes of commerce shouldn't be surprising. |

Quoted: I'm guessing that the most likely candidate would be the "A REV Engineering Firearm Control Device," which was "patent pending" last I heard (when it was released), but has long since been defunct and I haven't seen anything similar besides the Redi-Catch released from anyone. Kind of a shame if that's the case, since you can no longer get the FCD - I wish I'd gotten a couple when they were available, and now I can't get one. Never really liked the exposed spring of the Redi-Catch compared to the beefy and idiot-proof looking FCD. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/DavePAL84/projects/rev-eng001.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-uwO8nqqalwQ/Tfgfsq2_F1I/AAAAAAAAAb8/Rq3SrdD4pfY/s800/pic.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-ldyZjOEXjS0/TkyYjdJ8kbI/AAAAAAAAAeU/6p_b1gsvXp8/s800/8d364b38.jpg A photograph of IIRC, an earlier prototype that resembles the Redi-Catch more closely, and makes the possible basis for patent infringement more obvious - "prior art" and all, etc. http://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Firearm-Control-Device.jpg The Redi-Catch for comparison: http://www.recoilweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/boonie_red_catch001.jpg http://www.redi-mag.com/images/products/detail_61_Redi-Catch_4.jpg ~Augee |
