I think
Ammo feeds from a Magpul 20 rnd no problems
But I'm having feed issues with new Brownells 30rd with tan followers

Put the same ammo in both mags, even another Brownells new mag, Magpul good Brownells fail

H2 buffer, 11.5" SBR
I even tried my buddies ST 2 buffer same deal

I used Hornady 75 gr steel match, 193, and Silver Bear 55 gr HP, all had FTF with the Brownells mags and worked fine with the Magpul mag.

Eta
More info preban Oly lower purchased complete, Franken upper I built
Ejection is at about 3:30 makes a nice tight pile with all ammo

So, multiple Brownell's magazines failed to work in the gun?

Of course it's possible that you got a few bad mags.  I will say, I've heard just about nothing but horrible things about Oly, and one of the specific issues I've seen is their bolt catch isn't positioned right on some of their lowers, causing issues.

Hopefully it's not that, as you specifically stated "pre-ban" and a registered SBR.

Has this lower worked with other uppers before?  Or is this your first time using the lower?

Yeah it's SBRd too

But it runs like a top with all ammo and Magpul mags.

It's got a pretty low round count. I've put about 250 rnds thru it, I bought it as a complete HBAR rifle, with a very low round count.
I wonder if it's the mag springs being a bit weak or the followers...

I haven't used another upper on it but see above. Previous owner put about 600 rnds thru it as a rifle. He had use Orly and C Products mags with no issues.

As I said, bad mags are a possibility, but I know I've used quite a few Brownell's tan follower mags, both personal and issue, and I've never had a problem with any.

Have you only tried Magpul 20's?  Or have you tried other Magpul mags?

I would say if you're only having issues with the Brownell's mags, and the only other mags you've tried are Magpul 20's, I'd try a few different other mags to get a bigger baseline.

Do you have another AR or have a friend with an AR that you could try the Brownell's mags in?
