Moved to a free state. Looking at getting a suppressor.
I need to change my old pinned/welded comp. I was going to put a surefire socom muzzle brake on, with the idea of getting a surefire suppressor as well.

But are the surefire brakes compatible with other brand suppressors as well?

There doesn't seem to be much compatibility between manufacturers; there are even compatibility issues with different cans within the same manufacturer.  With the effort required to swap a pinned/welded device, I would nail down the suppressor decision first.

P.S.  I just had ADCO swap a pinned/welded device for me a few weeks ago.  Great work and super fast turnaround.

No. Surefire SOCOM brakes work with Surefire SOCOM suppressors and nothing else.

The only suppressor that supports different mounts is the Silencerco Saker series. They have a modular mounting system that can use a few different manufactures but Surefire is not one of them. Like stated before, you really need to pick a suppressor then get the appropriate FH/MB.

Look into a Silencerco Specwar FH or Brake. It would allow you to mount various SiCo/SWR cans including the Specwar, Saker, Omega and i think the Harvester as well.

The Liberty Mystic-X can is flexible as well.  It can use a solid thread mount, a recoil booster mount on a pistol, or the Silencerco mounts for compatibility with several other companies mounts.

NEW Mystic X Mounts Available Now:

Introducing The H.A.T.E. Ring !! The H.A.T.E. Do your research and buy a suppressor first. Then buy your muzzle devices while you're waiting for your form 4.

Completely agreed with this. Get the suppressor you want and just get the mounts after. Don't purchase your 2nd or 3rd choice of suppressor, just because it works on more mounts.

Saker has an ASR MAAD mount that fits Specwar muzzle devices.
