Are the $40 Anderson stripped uppers worth using? Are they in spec? Thinking of using one for a 10.5" build with an Aero barrel. I've heard they're CS sucks but I plan on buying from Primary Arms. What says the hive?

Same. Finish looks good, too.

Got one from Primary Arms. Only put 150 rounds through it, about 75 of which were suppressed. No issues.

Don't know about the uppers, but I recently got an Anderson lower and everything was perfect with it. The company has a bad rep in here due to shilling.

CS does suck, but I buy from primary or aims. I have a slick side on a light weight and standard paired with an aero lower and it's a perfect fit, no slop but can still push take down pins with fingers. They are gtg

Good fit with Noveske, Daniel Defense, Compass Lake, WOA, and KAC barrels I've used to build.

I've had 1 out of about 15 have some finish issues, but I didn't care.

I usually buy them 2 at a time from AIM.  They look really nice against the lowers with integral trigger guards when you get the one without the F/A.

I'm betting Anderson is making them for S&W (Sport rifle) or using the same forgings as S&W.

Go get a few.

The Anderson upper receiver works well with Anderson lowers; generally a snug fit on a .005" feeler gauge. For $40.00 it's an overall good deal and should not cause any headaches..

they are mil-spec, like any other...they are fine

with most of the stipped upper and lowers, you are paying for name and qc

My Anderson uppers are Cerro forgings, FWIW.

Since neither has the forward assist and port door (AIM does not sell them, PA is out of FA) it is pretty annoying to have to buy those elsewhere and pay shipping.

Check JSE Surplus, they have the parts in-stock and they just started flat rate shipping. I ordered some stuff this weekend and found their shipping charges very reasonable (compaired to before).
