| Triggers , FO or NO? |
| The fact a couple mentioned upgrading the springs. Not that I'm doubting it would be a benefit, but is it really that much of a difference? I know JP does have a few different springs available so does one cover most usage? To be honest, every thing I own is mil-spec, don't know that i'd recognize the benefit of spring upgrades, |

The ALG is even lighter pull with just the JP trigger spring, run the supplied hammer spring if your worried about light strikes. You can get the JP with th eenhanced power hammer spring.
I've setup several ALG's with JP enhanced power spring set and installed a setscrew thru the grip hold down screw. I see 3.5-4lb pull with zero creep, milspec reliability. |

How is this corrected, or is it an ammo thing? How often is this an issue, I would think far and few between. |

I cannot tell the difference, I mean nothing, from the trigger I took out of a Colt 6920, and the QMS. S marked the same, same exact feel on both. Never shot an ACT, all my other triggers are SSA-E, G2S or CMC Singles. That means you got lucky and had a good trigger in the 6920. Colts usually do have the best out of the box triggers. I use QMSs because they're $45 and are better than an SSA to me because I really don't like a two stage trigger. The QMS I have in my go-to has zero creep and is an awesome trigger. |

| I stuck with the springs that came with my ACT. Compared to my "good" stock triggers it feels MUCH lighter, so there was no reason to make it feel even lighter. Plus, with the springs that come with it, the ACT is guaranteed to have "at least" 5.5 pounds pull, the minimum MIL-SPEC for safety. Now my SSA-E ha a much lighter pull at 4.5# total, but the SSA-E is pretty darn sensitive. So I stick with a 5.5 pound or so pull in my SBR. |

That safety margin under stress is why I kept the same springs they were shipped with, and both still feel very good. I bought an ACT and a QMS early on, just to try them out side by side, and I'm very happy with both. Having said that, I'm about to order a couple more of the QMS, because I can't really detect any difference in the two. Either one is an excellent bargain for the price though. |
| I have an ALG trigger in my SBR. For the money, I decided to give it a shot. I am very impressed of how smooth it is. It takes all the grit out and makes for clean trigger pull. It is not going to lighten the actual pull, but certainly clean it up a lot. Considering the price, it is an excellent upgrade. I am now eyeing an ALG rail because I now know they make quality gear. |
