I recently replaced the BCM gunfighter CH with a Raptor, and have a bit of a concern. With the bolt closed and in battery, I notice the BCM was able to wiggle a bit as there is no pressure on it. Indeed I checked with my other rifles and this is the case for all of them, even the ones with Raptors. However for this particular rifle, and I notice when I close the bolt, the CH is solid with no wiggle at all, meaning the bolt carrier is putting pressure on it. My concern is the CH is preventing the bolt carrier from going fully forward. A bigger concern is that it's not going fully forward enough that the bolt is not fully in battery.
With my other rifles, and this one with the BCM, the CH has a little bit of play to it. When pulling back, it freely moves a little bit before pulling the Bolt carrier back. This is not the case with this one. Is this a concern? |
