went to Fedex today to send my trigger off to Timney
fro a new sear and man did I get a interesting reaction. When the Anti
looking person working there found out it was a trigger the SHTF.
Said I had to ship it priority overnight because it was a firearm
and that it would cost $61.00 to ship it..
Not going to use them ever again, seems like they are a little biased
on the anti side...

I use FedEx for everything, including shipping firearms.  You got a holiday season idiot, not the guy that represents the entire beliefs of FedEx.

When they ask what is in the package, I say "Parts"  It never lets me down, and I ship a lot.

2-day USPS Priority flat rate is like $5.35

you dealt with an in-experienced FedEx worker. Next time ask for a manager if such an incident occurs

Were you shipping JUST the trigger or the entire lower receiver?

If the latter, you would have to treat it as a firearm

Idiot counter monkey.

Just go to USPS, probably under $10 for first class, including insurance to cover the $230 trigger.

Why'd you tell him it was a trigger? What do they care what you are shipping as long as its legal?

I would have probably called his manager so that the manager could have corrected him.

Exactly this. as long as its not prohibited by rules, its none of their business. also, no gun words in the shipping address (i had to learn that after i sent an item to "adco firearms" )

I typically ship USPS, and they never ask what I'm shipping.

Whenever I ship something real expensive that needs to be insured, I ship FedEx (as USPS insurance rates are criminal). FedEx always asks what I'm shipping; and I simply say "machine parts." Never an issue.

Only ship UPS when I ship ammo. In that case, you just stamp it ORM-D, and they have no problem shipping ammo.
