I have narrowed the options for a brake on my lightweight barrel down to the following three brakes:

Advanced Armament Co (AAC) Single Chamber Muzzle Brake

ALG Defense Single Chamber Muzzle Brake

Rainier Arms Mini Compensator RMC

If anyone has any feedback on which one is preferable, please comment.  If you know of any reasons not to go with one, please comment also.  Thank you!

I have the Rainier Arms Mini Compensator RMC.  Works well and I like the short OAL but more importantly it looks great.

I have the Advanced Armament Co (AAC) Single Chamber Muzzle Brake on a 7.62x39 build and am very happy with it!

I have and like the ALG. I believe they will all perform similarly.

The Rainier looks dumb in my opinion.

I have the AAC brake,  and would much prefer the ALG unit.

I have the Rainier, it seems to work.  The others were sold out at the time.  It looks good in person.

Thank you for all your input!  I went ahead with the ALG for the following reasons:  Lowest price out of all three for the same basic function.  The Rainier would most likely eat away at my soft case riding on the ATV.  The AAC has a pronounced lip that I think would stick out too far on my pencil barrel.  The ALG looks to be about the same profile as the A2 I took off, so it should look ok.

I just received the AAC 762 for a 12.5" 762x39. It should bark nicely

ETA: the "lip" on the AAC 762 is still pronounced on a .750". I wish ALG would make a 762
