Anyone know the specs on the current Bushmaster bolts (type of steel, shot-peened, MPI, etc?)

I've done a search, but the factory and aftermarket seller descriptions seem somewhat vague.

I asked on brownells website and they never answered my question but have answered numerous questions about it since then.

9310 im sure, and probably claim MPI. Speaking of 9310 it cracks me up when a company claims mil-spec then lists the bolt as 9310. It is way too common these days.

There is a thread where DPMS states specifically that they use C158 on bolts.  It is only my opinion, but one would think that Bushy used the same bolts from Rem as DPMS

Toolcraft was making Bushmasters bolts for a while. Might still be.

I have a bushy bolt but I'm honestly not sure what it's made of. It's an older one.

Mine has no markings on it at all (MPI, etc).

I was just guessing since most manufacturers are switching to 9310. I can't remember if bushmaster claims mil spec on their bolts or not but if so then it's c158. But if they don't claim mil spec then theres just as good a chance that its 9310
