Been lurking for years and decided to make my first post. I'm looking for a barreled upper receiver with a low profile gas block pre-installed, looking for cheap as possible (don't need a tack driver). I want to put on my own hand guards (midwest Gen2 SS). What would be my options for a combination like this and would I be able to find one without hand-guards. Or should I stop B.S-ing and spring for a complete BCM upper?

You haven't told us how you plan to use the rifle. Without this nobody should recommend anything. For the cheapest route, I would be looking in the EE.

Well... cheap as possible...you would need to cut the FSB down and cut off the delta ring...not going to find much cheaper

I bought one of these for a plinker/HD gun.  Built a Spikes lower to run it with.  It's not the most accurate AR I've got (duh!!!)....but for what I wanted it for, and because of the price, I couldn't be happier with it.  I had a DPMS BCG/charging handle laying around that I used, and I put on an A2 carry handle/rear sight.  It has run flawless, even when dirty and on mag dumps.
