I have a new PSA and the FSB seems to be canted slightly to the right. It took 4 clicks right on my DDA1.5 rear sight to get it zeroed. Is this within spec or should I be worried? Thanks.

4 clicks is well within the military's spec. Only 4 clicks is actually pretty damn good in my opinion

Ok this is my first AR. I need to stop looking at it and shoot it. I am too OCD.

If it's too canted for you, cut it down and put on a float tube.

I had the same thing w a PSA barrel. I tapped the pins out enough to tap the sight the way it needed to go and then tapped the pins back in. Somehow the sight stayed in alignment and everything was spot on then.

4 is fine.

My PSA needed 12-clicks correction.

Is the FSB "visibly" canted or are you assessing this by the number of clicks it takes to zero it? If your assessing by the number of clicks then you shouldn't worry about it as (4) clicks is good to go. I've had a PSA "Premium" CHF barrel assembly that was canted 8-10 degrees to the right from dead top center measured with a Fairgate "L" Square: from the center of the flattop receiver. It didn't leave any adjustments for windage and was unacceptable. PSA replaced it after much bitching and only then after management got involved...

Not to throw gas on the fire,......but this is typical PSA bullshit. They have been produciping uppers with canted FSBs for years.
Send that shit back!  I would not accept it, too many quality manufacturers to deal with this piss poor crap.

What the hell are you talking about? 4 clicks to zero is "piss poor crap"?

Stand it upside down on the FSB ears and the upper receiver rail...see if its solid or wabbles.  Either way as the others have said your GTG!

Dude, 4 clicks of windage is nothin! Why you tryna get this guy to waste his time returning it? I know PSA shit is kinda caddywampus but 4 clicks aint shit man

Excuse the fuck outta me for having an opinion!

PSA is known for bullshit assembled junk. They put out more jacked up canted front sight basses than anyone.
I do not accept this crap for my money.  When I was shooting Uncle Sam's sure,......did not have a choice.

OP......your money, your call.

4 clicks is less than 3MOA. About 2.6'' at 100 yards. 1.3'' at 50 yards.

If that is unacceptable from a factory built upper, you need to find a new hobby. You'd be hard pressed to find a manufacturer that zeros in less than that consistently.

I've had Colt and BCM uppers that required way more than 4 clicks of windage to zero. That FSB is pretty damn straight.

I bet if you loosened the barrel nut and then re-torqued it you'd get more of a shift than that.

Mine was a few inches off at 50Y with the rear sight all the way right.  I hacked it off and use a red dot optic.

No BUIS needed on a plinker.

That's worse than the one I had and referenced above and mine was sad... I'm glad your cool with it however. Me, I'm not anal retentive in the least bit but fuck; there is no way I'd live with or accept that shit. How's the carrier gas key playing with that gas tube? I'm betting there is some binding and grinding going on there... Whatever though. The platform is so good that I'm betting your not having problems with it so far... I love you Mr. Stoner you ol' bad ass!!!

I think you are fine, my Spike's rifle has to have way more than 8 clicks to zero at 50 yards. When I look down the receiver on any AR, or AK for that matter, the FSB always looks canted a little.
