Understanding that the original SP-1/M-16 was a light weapon; about 6.8 pounds or so, what is a light AR currently manufactured?

Here are two I found on Buds: comments???

Keeping in mind I don't care to engage in "brand name" discussions so much.  I have used the Colts in the military and I own an Armalite AR-10 and love it.

Also, I am considering a SBR.  That cuts weight of course.  I do own two AR platforms now.  I am looking for a quick handling and light AR for concealed carry...kidding.

Used my Colt 629 copy in a 3-gun match last weekend just for fun.  It did great but WOW does that little light rifle buck around a lot .  Light rifles need a solid hold for follow up firing

How is she set up?  I have one of mine at about 5.5 pounds that is pretty tame, even compared to some of my heavier 14.5 rifles.  I am starting to think ADCO did not enlarge the port at all when I had the Colt 14.5 barrel cut to 12.5.  With an extra power action spring, and H2 buffer, it does great

OP If I didn't want to build, I would look at BCMs light uppers, and pair it with a BCM complete lower.  Since you mentioned SBR, look at a Daniel Defense MK18

What type of configuration are you looking for? A1, A2, A3 upper receiver? CAR, M4, or railed handguards? Optic- yes or no?
