Iam in the military and have been noticing that the fn m16A4s are not holding up that good at all. Mainly the bolts. Ive seen cracks and alot off gas keys coming loose. The older colt m4s are outlasting the FN m16A4s have anyone else noticed this. Even the fit compared to the military colts are way worse i dont think ill ever buy anything from fn.

I was issued an FN M16A2 back in 2001.  Fit and finish were better than anything I've seen from Colt and it along with the rest of our FNs in the armory held up just fine.

I was issued rifles and carbines by Colt and rifles by Colt and FN. My observations are similar to JoshAston. The only bolt problems I have seen were with carbines, not rifles.

OP is bananas. The only colt I ever had that could match an FN was the brand new one I lucked into back in 2002. I was always happy to draw an FN weapon and wished for years they could supply M4s.

Is OP an armorer doing depot level maintenence or a joe talking shit?

While I would not call them junk, I did prefer my Colt M4 over the FN M16A4 I ran for a short time. My Colt was dialed in and ran without fail. FN was definitely newer, but it was a little finicky well past it's break in period.
