I looked this up awhile ago, but I cannot find it now. Does anyone know if BCM pin their gas blocks?

Yes, I know they pin their FSB's, but couldn't remember on the gas blocks.

Thanks!

No, the barrels are dimpled and the gas blocks are set-screw type and installed with red loctite.  Pinning is nice, but I've never heard of a BCM-installed gas block coming loose.

This.  From what I've experienced the way they install their gas blocks makes it an absolute pain in the ass to get them off (kind of like their barrel nuts.)  Think they use some kind of loctite (maybe rocksett) on the set screws, but it sure as hell isn't going to come off if you don't want it to.

IMO, pinning the gas block is over rated. A clamp on or set screw with a dimple isn't going anywhere when installed right. Especially when they are under a rail.
