Going to have a Daniel Defense MK18 upper and was thinking about trying a billet lower. Will most or all billet lowers fit and function normally with a DD forged upper?

It might look kinda funny but it'll work.

If you want one that will flow perfectly with your forged upper. the 2A-Armament BALIOS-lite or standard BALIOS is a good answer. It was designed to be perfectly complimentary to a forged product... Top or bottom.

As an example:

Any Milspec upper will fit any another Milspec lower.

Works fine for me

Both ways

Why not get the best of both worlds, and get a Forged Noveske Gen 2?

Or the Noveske billet Gen 3

The Noveske looks awesome. I just don't have any experience with billet and I really thought I heard (somewhere) that you should have a billet set and not just a billet lower or upper, something to do with the tension screw?

I just like the looks of some of these billet lowers and figured I'd give it a shot.
