I am working on a pistol build and have everything but the handguard.  I am going to run a 10.5" barrel with the KX5 on the end and I am intrigued by the MI M-LOK rail coming out soon.  The inside diameter is 1.3" and the KX5 is 1.2".  Is this ok?  I know it is going to be a close fit given that it would leave .05" between the muzzle device and the rail but I didn't know if it was too close or not.  If it is I will just get another rail but figured I would ask before I bought the rail.

Should be okay for a KX5 (it may get a bit warm ), but if you were ever to want to mount a can under a rail, I would have at least .100" clearance all around...

I've got a Troy Alpha rail (1.37'') ID and the KAK Slim flash can that's 1.2'' OD.

This is how much space is around mine. I wouldn't want it any closer. I tried the 1.3'' and it wouldn't work.

that is pretty darn close, not sure if I should just go with a different rail altogether and forget about it
