This is the first hybrid muzzle device I've seen in awhile that looks completely different. Anyone seen one in person yet? Flash in the video doesn't look that bad.

So it's a compensator.

So what does it do that a vortex or three prong FH does? Or a Lantac or a MAMS?

Yep, I'm no operator.  Looks like we're out of the club buddy.

Working the range for HK on media day(s) at SHOT Show, I got to shoot a bunch of rounds down range using an MR556 with a Banner Brake on it.  What makes it a little special is that it keeps the muzzle as flat as most any dedicated muzzle brake (F2, JP, Miculek, etc) but does so without the teeth-shattering concussion of a comp. The report is like a standard A2 birdcage, but it manages muzzle movement like a comp.

Their suppressor is awesome, too.

How would you compare it to a BC?

Battle Comp?  I have not shot a rifle with a BC on it, so I can't honestly compare them.  Sorry.

Its a very good brake but on my 16 inch  rifle the BC and Griffen comps were better. Its also casted and not milled if you care. One nice feature is it does not need to be timed like the other brakes.
