Quoted: Since Geissele sent the hi woman upper with 14.5 barrel and EMR rail, is that the official she-CWAR? So many questions. Well last years was a 14.7 lightweight barrel with MK4. This years was a lightweight 14.7 with ALG rail. So I would say, 14.7 lightweight with Geissele or ALG rail is a She-CWAR. 2013 She-CWAR My wifes She-CWAR: |

The piece of metal you see on he outside of normal dust covers is to keep the cover from getting bent when placing the upper on the lower, the spring loaded detent that keeps it closed is on the inside of the cover. |

Doh, total dummy moment on the latch mechanism. I hadn't seen a flat one before. |

SCWAR: http://i59.tinypic.com/s49i5e.jpg Dat trigger, I know that third pin. I would like to plan a CWDMR or maybe call it a CWAR Mod2... Similar to a Mk12 but with Geissele trigger, rifle stock, and 15" handguard, Geissele of course. 2.5-10x scope with FFP. 18" barrel as well. None of that silly Ops collar. Other than that, idk. Thought all? |

Maybe "Cola Warrior" is the new term for "Couch Commando" Things are getting ridiculous... I witnessed the failures from the swamp. I saw first hand an Armalite Super SASS fail to hit 250 and 300 yards. Multiple rifle failures from faulty equipment. Shitty optics. Pistols getting packed with mud and failing. "Couch Commando" all you want, but this rifle was built on principles. Yes, it's from Cola Warrior. But until you were there and lived it, you may never know. |

Ok, I found this in GD, and I'll take back the "couch" statement. I will not, however, take back the "ridiculous" part. I see masochistic obstacles, force-feeding Peeps, running down a cleared trail, shooting a few targets, and chugging soda. And all this is somehow supposed to be fun? As far as the "swamp" is concerned, I saw not one bit of swamp in the video in the thread linked above. Maybe I'm missing something. I play in the Florida swamps for a LIVING. I can take you places that will make you cry (especially in August). There are NO trails, other than those cut by hand with a machete. The obstacles I deal with are living, heavily toothed, and frequently venomous. The poster above is correct, I just don't understand. Life is too short to punish myself like that without getting paid. Anyway, sorry to derail this photo thread, but can someone please explain what, exactly, qualifies as a CWAR Mod 1? Is it any rifle used in the event, does it have to include accessories by the sponsors (Geiselle), or are there more specific requirements? |
