How do you get that little pin or screw out to change the silver rod so I can swap out my gas block on a dpms a15??????

1/16" punch should get the gas tube roll pin out. Be patient when putting the pin back in, they can be a bitch for beginners.

Make sure you support the block well, and have someone help you keep it in place while you're working on the pin.  The "silver rod" is your gas tube; don't bend it while you're working on the gas block.

Brownells sells the 5/64 roll pin punch, which is the proper tool for that gas tube retaining pin. It's $3.99 and will be needed to re-install the pin.

Otherwise you will flatten it when re-installing.

It's a good idea to use a slightly smaller punch to remove the gas tube pin.  It helps prevent damaging the gas block.  But a 5/64 roll pin punch (the kind with the little tit on the end) is appropriate for installing that pin because it will prevent mushrooming the pin and let you seat it flush.
