[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Buffer assembly

We have a lower with a Carbine Buffer assembly.

Question: Will a Carbine buffer work OK with this 20 inch Government Profile Barrel Sabre Defence barrel? Does it appear we have the right front sight to mate with the upper receiver. We just put this together for My Son. Have right at 350.00 in the upper so the price is good..Plan on test shooting tomorrow..

One other thing. Is it normal for the rear sight assembly to twist back and forth kinda loosely?

Anything in particular to look out for the first time out?

You should be just fine on both questions you asked. The front sight will be F marked or not. But with a 20 inch barrel I have read that it does not matter.

Thanks, the front sight has a F and a H on the left side.

The rear sight has slight left & right movement, helps prevent breakage if it gets struck.
Spring tension keeps it lined up. Some match conditioned sights get another spring & detent to make the assembly more centered and less movement.
