Hey new guy here. I want to start by saying I've done a lot of research on this site and others and talked to a few friends who own AR's and seem to know some. I don't want to take anyone's time with stupid questions I could find answers to myself. I own a rifle and handgun, but am looking to purchase my first AR. I want something that is not the bottom of the barrel but I realize I do not need anywhere near the best there is. So I am looking to spend around $800-$1200. I want a weapon that is reliable, rugged, and durable, that I can use to shoot for fun but I will also use this as a home defense/SHTF situation so I want to be able to depend on it to protect me and my loved ones. Also, I want a gun that I can build upon and upgrade with ease throughout the years, Currently I am looking at the Colt LE6920MP... How do some of you guys feel about that gun? RELIABLE? Durable? Long lasting? I really fell in love with it at a gun shop while looking around. Some other brands I am considering are Bushmaster, and Bravo Company, although with these two I do not have it narrowed down to a specific model. Any recommendations with these two? Thoughts anyone? Thanks for reading!
