I’ve got a Colt 6520 upper I have on a Colt match lower with an A2 stock.  I want to put a collapsible stock on it and I want to change out the semi auto bolt carrier.  Am I correct that I can drop in a full auto bc with the original bolt, and put an H buffer in the new stock and I’m gtg? Can someone recommend me a good place to buy a decent bolt carrier in FA?

Yes, you can use a FA BC in the 6520. There a number of good bolt carriers but most of them are sold as a complete bolt carrier group.

Was think about buying a complete BCM bcg, and saving the bolt in it for a spare...

I saw a few Colt BCG's in the EE for $200 shipped about the same as  BCM BCG at $189+ shipping

FWIW, I have a Colt 6520 that came from the factory with a FA bolt carrier and an H buffer. Runs like a top.

Might as well drop another Colt carrier in it. Unless you would rather have something like a JP, or Young's NM.
I would use your original bolt if you have a lot of rounds through the weapon
They wear in together.
If low round count it doesn't matter. Some will say it doesn't matter no matter what. But I tend to disagree.

Oh, nothing wrong with BCM either!

When was your 6520 made? It may have a block in it.
