I did a search for info on this subject but came up with nothing, don't understand why, but I did. Anyway I'm thinking about getting one of these rifles and I think I read somewhere that there are different versions of this model. The author/writer claimed that one version was more desireable that the other. I know that's a subjective statement and I can't remember what the differences were. My question is whether there are different versions of this model and if so what are they. Maybe I was dreaming the whole thing, I don't know. I won't even ask if the Colt rollmark is worth the extra $$ or not. I've seen a lot of opinions on that question already. Thanks in advance for any info/advice given.

The LE6920 has gone through a couple small changes over its production, though the basic configuration has remained the same, all these remain consistent unless otherwise noted:

Just one quick?? I just ordered the LE6920Socom and was told it comes with the KAC and not the Troy. I have read that the Troy did come on some just wondering if that was a small batch or all?? One store got stock and they claim they all came with KAC and not the Troy ones.
Thanks T |
| They should just simply go back to the stock version of the semi M4 and pin and weld choice of comp or flash hider on barrels then they dont have to make a !^" version they can use standard barrels and start using a real socom 14.5 with a pinned option...if Bushmaster and Windham and others can do it they can too. |

I would just want to add more info about other variants.
The "extended" safety/ selector lever design introduced in around 2007 are also reversible, it could be mounted to the right side of the receiver because it have two grooves (both left and right side) for the selector detent pin. The "Sporter M4 Carbine" lower marked model SP6920 was only mainly made in 2011 and was in their 2011 catalog, there were a few also made in 2012 but not many. There are still new just released from the factory 2013 configuration with the old "Colt's Law Enforcement Carbine" with LE/ RESTRICTED markings, the last 100 of these with official last 100 paperwork was released last year but the factory had some more made after the official last 100 units. There are some hydro dipped camo finishes like Muddy Girl®, Tiger Stripe Vietnam™, Carbon Fiber pattern new this year but some are not in the catalog. Colt also stated last SHOT Show they will have other camo finishes in the future but I have not seen them yet: Silver Flame pattern Brushed Stainless Steel pattern Wildfire™ camouflage A-TACS FG™ (foliage green camouflage) Gray finish Bounty Hunter camouflage A-TACS AU™ |
