| Thinking of purchasing one of their 18 inch uppers to add to my current lower from PSA. Was hoping to get some advice about quality and accuracy. Thanks |

I bought a Barnes Precision Machine 16" Patrolman's Carbine nearly four months ago now. I am new to the AR rifle, though I have shot nearly every other type of firearm over the years. Admittedly, I have little experience with other AR brands but I am a farmer and I know quality equipment when I see it (and, in this case, shoot it). The fit and finish of this rifle are impeccable - it radiates quality and craftsmanship from top to bottom. I took somewhat of a chance buying it sight unseen, but had read good reviews on the rifle and the manufacturer and wanted to try a brand outside of the current mainstream. Turns out I made an excellent choice. In addition to the quality build, the rifle shoots straight as an arrow.
I also had to contact the company about a problem I myself inadvertently inflicted on the rifle and the response from Mr. Barnes himself in helping me out went way above and beyond any experience I've ever had with a company I have purchased equipment or parts from. This is truly a quality company operated by a quality man and staff. I could not recommend this rifle or company more highly. Give Barnes a try - you won't regret it. |
| I bought an 18" full rifle and have been very impressed. I highly recommend the smooth hand guard over the quad rail; mine is only a 12" but I don't think it matters much. I took a tour of the factory from the owner and have never been so impressed with the knowledge, commitment to quality and passion of a business owner. I would put my rifle up against a Larue or a Noveske any day and I paid about $700 less. In short, I would jump on it before more people figure out how good they are. |
