| im debating on buying a complete upper or putting together from scratch and what a good upper for decent money |
| When someone comes to me and asked if they should build their own vs. buying already built... I always say build your own. The knowledge you gain from building up from stripped is invaluable and worth more than that complete upper. So... Build your own. Look at Aero Precision for stripped upper and lower. |

I like putting the money into a good barrel suited for what I want rifle for. I have bought a couple of barrels and really like the AR Performance barrel.
Guy I know bought a complete pistol upper (for really good price/unknown non-reputable source) and it looks like some GI (burned-out) take-off the was poorly cut down and slapped together with the cheapest parts they could find. Glen info here to get good sources. |

spikes and psa has the best uppers for the money bcm uppers are pricey for what you get you can get a nice upper from spikes for 500 or a nice upper from psa for 300-400 --- probably 250 on black friday if you're quick enough Spikes are the shit!!! PSA has it's on following so do some research you could always pay more for the less or same but hey it's on you.......... |

With Palmetto State Armory your going to have to have some basic knowledge of what it is you want and know how to spot what your looking for. P.S.A sells 3 tiers of quality not including blemished items and sometimes it is a little hazy on exactly what your getting unless you are familiar with materials, manufacturing processes and the like. BCM makes all kinds of good shit.. but I have never purchased any of their main components ... they can thank Spikes and P.S.A for that O.P as somebody has already mentioned.. best bet is to figure out what you want out the rifle , find your barrel ( if it is attached to something already good for you) and go from there. |
