Supposed to be a Colt but it is obviously not.  Also supposed to have some fancy coating on it.

Can anyone tell me anything about the mfr or the coating?

Where did you buy it?

Looks pretty "standard" to me.  As far as coating goes, it's hard to tell but doesn't really look chromed or Nickel Boroned(?)

It came in a Colt upper I bought.  I asked seller specifically if the Colt bcg was in it and he replied yes.

It was advertised as nickel Teflon coated

I'm no expert, but...I have a spare BCG that is a Colt.  The side of with the firing pin retaining pin has a "C" stamped on it.  My BCG is standard Mil-Spec and has a much darker color (except the worn areas).

I've never heard of Nickel Teflon coating, not that that means anything...

Do you trust this guy?

It looks like Nickel Teflon coating to me.  TR Enabling offers this.

Don't know him.  I know it is not Colt, I've owned Colts for 30 years. It looks very similar to TR Enabling bcg advertised here but it is darker. I would have offered $100 less if I'd know it wasn't a Colt setup
