Can't decide between the BCM gunfighter or the Griffin Armament flash comp.  Any input from people who have used both would be great.

I personally like the Griffin, less barrel movement.

tag.

I am looking for one to go on a carbine that also has flash hider properties.

I have a BCM mod 0 on two of my carbines.  They are ok and don't seem to perform particularly great at any one thing.  I'm looking to unload one as it is just stupid loud on my 10.5.  I'll keep the one on my all BCM 16".

I also own a Battlecomp 2.0 which I like and a Surefire MB556K.  They both control recoil well, but I was thinking of picking up on the Griffin flash hiding comp due to the positive reviews...especially Military Morons review.  The Surefire is just too concussive and has too much flash for my taste.

If I was you OP, I would try the Griffin comp.

I've got the NT4 variant of the Griffin comp.  It's a solid device, works awesome and is comparable to all the other more expensive comps out there.  But me being a KAC whore I just had to have the MAMS just because.  And even though it's way more expensive it did not out-perform the Griffin comp.  Anyway I'll be keeping the MAMS for bling factor and the Griffin comp is for sale if anyone needs one.  SOLD

Think about it like this..... What suppressor do you wish to buy someday and buy muzzle devices accordingly.

i live in california so this will never be an option.  Sounds like the griffin might be the way to go...

Watch this muzzle device review series.
I found it super informative and not basis. There are 3 parts.. you'll be hooked after part 1.

Very interesting results from all the different 3 gun breaks to hybrids the KX3.
Night time flash included.

Damn commies!  Then my instructions are pointless to you honestly do not dwell a whole lot of muzzle device just get what you want.  Spikes makes a Dynacomp that is inexpensive and works very well.

is one of those comps that does a little of everything a good idea for close quarters or should i stick with a dedicated flash hider like that aac 51t?

I know these aren't among your choices, however consider a Battlecomp or AAC Muzzle Brake if you don't care about flash. They are by far my 2 favorite and they both do a great job with perceived recoil / muzzle rise.

Had a griffin flash comp on my old 14.5 setup, got a bcm mod 0 on my new set up. Without a doubt, go griffin. Muzzle damn near doesn't move.

flash is okay, but i want something that mitigates recoil and muzzle rise but isn't loud as f**k.  I hate brakes that blow up the person next to you

How's the concussion of the flash comp?

Flash comp concussion about the same as a Battlecomp.

i have or have used most breaks/comps out there. the BCM Gunfighter is excellent and shoots flat, i also like the PWS 556fsc it is awesome but very loud and stays on point of aim very well, the battlecomp works great but feels like it pushes down, the Rainier TXC works well and is very loud, it shoots flat. i have a friend the has a griffin Armament and it extremely compairable to the BattleComp without the price.

i just ordered the Comp/flasher hider for my Sig716 from griffin Armament, i did alot of research and watch alot of reviews, GA answered all my questions unlike another well known company. i almost bought the PWS 30cal break but after shooting a friends SCAR i opted for the GA comp. i wish BCM had 30 cal gunfighter breaks, oh well

OP i hope that helps

GRIFFIN for the win-big time!   They are the shit!   I'm in the process of switching all of my devices over to theirs.   For comparison, I have used all of the following and I like griffins the best.

VLTOR VC-1

A2

Surefire- Flash hider and brake

Battle comp.  1, 1.5

KAC Triple tap

AAC-Brake out

I'm about to order their cans, so in about a year I will post a review.

Hope this helps.

I'm in the same boat, torn between a Griffin and a Spike's, roughly the same price, but they mount differently IIRC. Shims vs crush washer.
