So I grab my go-to bullet hose after it's been sitting a week in the safe.  At least a range session or 2 since the last lube/cleaning with either CLP or miltec
I chamber check and see this,   it's S&B and all the other ammo in the mag is zero corrosion, (shiny as the case head) almost looks like something in the chamber was deposited on the case VS something corroding the case itself.  Did use the ceiner kit & ,300rds of 22lr Rem.GB, don't know if that was it,  but never seen it so green before.

I presume that round was in the chamber while you had the gun stored??

Wow, must have been a little solvent/oil in the chamber that started cleaning the brass...

Man that looks like corrosion from salt.
How does the chamber look ?

Why would there be lube in the chamber and bore of a go to rifle that has a round chambered? Do you use a bore solvent cleaning? Maybe residue from it or one of the other lube products used?

I am thinking this.

OP did you run copper cleaner and not dry it completely up?  You can see the copper in the brass that is what the green color is.

Copper corrosion

Are you shooting suppressed?

I never witnessed this for myself until I started shooting suppressed. Now all my ammo looks like that if it was in a magazine and I shot a few out of that mag and didnt finish it all

actually yes, that must be it, think I need to step up the cleaning, or switch to something other than what I'm using
