What length are they supposed to be.  I would imagine there is a spec, no?  


I don't really think I NEED to replace mine, but I'm not completely sure how many rounds it has seen.  I should probably just get a new one.   Although I doubt it's more than 2k rounds.  Maybe it is though.  Hmmm......  

Anyways... if there is a spec on length, I'd love to hear it.

I know it is listed in TM 9-1005-319-23&P; but I do not remember what the carbine action/buffer spring measures.

Free length for carbine should be 10 1/16 inches (25.56 cm) minimum to 11 1/4 inches (28.58 cm) maximum. I found this in the TM 9-1005-319-23&P.
