Hello all, I'm new to ARs and was curious about this. Is this a gap normal wherethe upper meets the circular piece of metal? At one of the pictures I'm pointing to it with the tip with a razor blade. It's about a 2 mm gap, probably normal...

Normal. There's plenty of threading underneath that barrel nut. No worries.

When I first saw that gap on my AR I was thinking the same question....I had to look at my factory built ar's to realize ALL of them have that gap.....normal...
