Just got a bunch of these in the mail (FDE, ODG, FOL) and was trying to come up with a good looking pattern to put them together in along the side rails of the handguard.
Does anyone have any pics of their patterns of these two piece rail covers snapped together? I'd like to see how they look on some of your rifles. Thanks! |

Love it! Unfortunately, I forgot to order the pink ones... I took pink, and dyed them to Hot Pink. That's my wife's SBR. My wife wants her pink Magpul furniture a "hotter" pink. What did you use? |

Love it! Unfortunately, I forgot to order the pink ones... I took pink, and dyed them to Hot Pink. That's my wife's SBR. My wife wants her pink Magpul furniture a "hotter" pink. What did you use? I got the Magpul Pink stock, grip and XTM covers. I put 8 tablespoons of Fuscia RIT dye from WalMart in 8 cups if water, and 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Heated up the water, and cooked the Magpul stuff in it for 30 minutes. After that, i washed it in some water with a little bit of bleach until no more color came out, and air dried it. Its a slightly darker than I was aiming for, so its difficult to photograph in low light, but looks great in person. If I did it again, I'd probably try 6 tablespoons of Magenta instead of 8. The only things left for me to do before i give it to her on her Bday is to color fill the Parley, Arrgh and Plunder marking with Hot Pink and white respectively. |
