Does anyone know if the RRA Forged A4 Upper Receiver has M4 feed ramps. It doesn't say on their site so I am assuming no but just wanted to double check. I was thinking about picking one up for my build mainly because of the price. If it does not have the M4 feed ramps do you suggest any other uppers that do and are in that general price range?

I cant say for sure, but most of my experience with RRA rifles that have come into the shop is that they do not have M4 cuts. i cannot speak to this particular upper. Id suggest you contact RRA with the part number and ask them to be sure.

My RRA A4 Mid-length upper was bought direct from RRA just under 2 years ago, so in that time they may have changed their methodology, but they typically use M4 barrel extensions and add the M4 ramp cuts to their receivers in their shop at assembly.  Some people have a problem with this, but they look just dandy to me.  My RRA upper is exceedingly accurate and functions flawlessly with any type of ammo.

As I understand it, the M4 feed ramps really only matter if you are shooting your rifle on full automatic, so it shouldn't be a problem unless you're a mall ninja or a secret squirrel.

My lar 15 had feed ramps. It was a factory built rifle that has since been parted out and sold but it definitely had them. I can't speak to their stripped uppers however.

This may be true, but from a factory part I expect a bit more than DREMELED in M4 ramps!

Yes, but my complete RRA upper was $475 delivered when I got it.  If I wanted (read could afford) all the premium features at the time, I would have popped for a good BCM complete upper for around $900 delivered.  Believe me, I wanted the BCM a lot, but it just wasn't going to happen.

As I said though, the RRA M4 feed ramps look & feel just great and the gun functions flawlessly, so I'm quite happy with what I got at that price-point.
