Hi guys. I'm curious for the guys running BCM barrels what kind of accuracy are you getting? I've been using their stuff in my builds but never one of their barrels. How do they stack up against say a blackhole weaponry as far as accuracy goes? Thanks  Ryan

They shoot 1.877 MOA.

What barrel? What kind of ammo?

The ss410 barrel (made be kreiger IIRC) is a tack driver. I've seen videos of top instructors claiming moa or better with their BFH barrels.

My 16" standard lw middy outshoots my dads heavy fn midlength all day

I don't know the exact accuracy of mine. But the standard barrel in my midlength recce will ding a 4" plate at 300 yards if I do my part. And that's with standard 55 grain FMJ. I've got some 69 grain match ammo I want to run through her, but haven't had the time.

Thanks guys, that's what I wanted to hear. Just wanted to make sure they would be able to hold pretty decent accuracy. Thanks

Criterion was the rumor.

I have a 20" standard chrome lined 1:7 govt barrel.  Using iron sights it is getting me groups slightly more than 1 moa.  It seemed to tighten up after the first 100 rds.  My setup is with a complete BCM A4 upper with removable carry handle.  The lower has a standard Rock River trigger with a very clean break at 5 lbs.  i have more accurate guns but they all have target triggers.  It shoots well with all ammo I have tried from 55-62 gr.

iLikeFtLbs as better eyes than me, but with the same barrel I'm doing close to 1.5" groups at 100 yards with iron sights, and (getting used to my Nikon P223 scope) less than 1" groups with a scope.

BCM's standard barrels should be thought of as high quality issue barrels.  That means they'll do fine at up to 600 yards with GI ammunition, essentially meeting or exceeding the accuracy standards for M855 (~4MOA at (?) 300 yards).  Usually exceeding, as with issue M-series rifles and carbines.

Thank you guys for the help.

A FREAK good group with my BCM 11.5 lite weight at 100 yards, 5 rounds.

More normal is this in the same barrel

The rifle

The secret is having ammunition that matches your barrels harmonics.  This, except by extremely fortunate coincidence can only be achieved and maintained by handloading.  Buying off the shelf bulk ammunition, or duty rounds that while they may get you into the 1 MOA zone, fall far short of the accuracy potential in most modern first quality barrels.

How do you like that Apex handguard?

I'm building an SBR with 11.5" BCM barrel, and a dedicated HTA Kestrel suppressor. I ordered a 12" Apex handguard and top rail for it yesterday.

I loved it on my SPR 18", so I had to have it on my 11.5.  However if I could I would have the 9" version, but then I couldn't use the can that I have, AAC SPR-M4.

Built this for a buddy, and it's about perfect, also 11.5" DD LW.

Like the Giessele triggers, the APEX just can't be beat...

In a carbine class I shot a 10 round 2" group prone at 100 yards with an Eotech with Xm193PD.  Home build with a standard. BCM 12.5" barrel free floated.

14.5 BCM middy with pinned A2.
Two, 3 shot groups at 100 meters. Iron sights, and front bag. First group (high left) was with the sight post centered on dot. Second group was holding at 6 o'clock on the black dot.
